Our combined strength is the fact that we offer clients an opportunity to sample Portuguese life firsthand in a secure and friendly environment.
Don’t forget our four legged and feathered team members who work to bring some variety to the site ……
Here at Camping Redondo we offer visitors the opportunity to help with feeding and care of our animals in the early morning and late afternoon, a pastime especially popular with younger visitors.
Barbie is our very friendly four year old Shetland pony who loves to go for walks or rides and Ken is her boyfriend, of course!
Tin-Tin is the old boy of our animals at nine years - an adorable and adventurous white donkey.
Diana is our 2 year old female donkey from the Mirandela region of Portugal. These donkeys are one of the oldest races in Portugal. She is the most comical of the animals and again extremely partial to cuddles and strokes.
Sexta is the camping dog – an abandoned Portuguese dog who turned up here in one Friday (Sextafeira in Portuguese) in January without tent or rucksack three years ago and has never left.
Donna is the inherited resident cat and her son Rambo is a real favourite with the children.
In addition we have a collection of collared doves who entertain the Orchard campers with their cooing and laughing.
