While you are staying with us at Redondo you may choose to relax in our rural hideaway or you may want to take in the sights and sounds of Portugal. We offer a variety of activities to entertain you.
Walking
Use one of our five documented walking plans to explore the surrounding countryside by yourself or with a guide (available from reception).
Join us for half or full day walking followed by an optional swim in the beautiful warm waters of the Zézere afterwards enjoy delicious Portuguese fare and local wines at a lakeside restaurant. Suitable for all levels of walkers groups of up to 30 persons.
A local couple John and Sue Trueman have devised some interesting medium length walking trails with illustrated maps which you might like to try out during your time in Portugal. Guided walking is also available on request.

Horse Riding
Half or full day activity.
Sample Portuguese style riding with a fully trained instructor followed by petiscos (tapas) and local drinks in traditional equestrian adega. Suitable for group of up to 6 persons.
Canoeing / Kayaking
Half or full day activity.
Hire our 2 +1 canoe with lifejackets, delivered to the shores of Lake Zézere where you can explore the magnificent surrounding landscape. Suitable for individuals or families.
Cycling
Half or full day activity.
Use our cycling equipment to explore the surrounding villages of Chaos das Maias and Serra or venture further afield to the lakeside for a refreshing dip. Suitable for up to 4 persons
Tomar Cultural Tours
Mornings – 2 hour tour of the Convento do Cristo (former Head Quarters for the Knights of the Templar in Portugal) followed by lunch at a local restaurant - book at Reception. A detailed DVD of Tomar History is available at Reception for clients to view.
Evening – 1-2 hour walk taking in the historic sites of Tomar followed by dinner at a local restaurant
Vineyard Visits (half or full day)
Discover the secrets and sample the delights of the Portuguese wine industry during the tour of a local vineyard followed by a sumptuous meal in a memorable setting.
